MOVING FUTURES FESTIVAL - program May 20
Theater Bellevue, Amsterdam (NL)
IN THE MOMENT
CAMILLA MONGA & EMANUELE MANISCALCO (AEROWAVES)
In the moment explores time through an innovative approach to performance and improvisation. Piano and drums are played together to deliver one composition, partly scored and partly improvised. The musical ideas were inspired by the dancers’ movements which gave shape to a continuous dialogue between sounds and gestures. This exchange takes the audience into a collective unconscious musical memory and meditative state.
Participate in the dance workshop by Camilla Monga on 20 May, 11:30-13:00!
EXCEEDING DIGITAL INFOXICATION
ARGIL & HASSANI
Two humanoids are created to take over the world. They take you into their world full of infinite access to (digital) information which can also lead to infoxication: information stress, which might cause you to make the wrong decisions.
TANTEN BO T'AKI – WHILE YOU’RE HERE
FAIZAH GROOTENS
Tanten bo t’aki is Papiamentu for “while you’re here”. With this playful and intimate duet choreographer Faizah Grootens creates a bodily research of the constant moving spine and the relation between synchronicity and individuality. Two people share a personal space, their connection is undeniable. But what exists when they’re together and who are they individually? In a constant motion the two dancers wave through the performance. But in the end they’re not by themselves, you are there as well.
Moving Futures Festival is an initiative of Theater aan de Rijn, ICK Dans Amsterdam / ICK Artist Space, DansBrabant, Dansateliers, Korzo, Grand Theatre Groningen.
