MOVING FUTURES FESTIVAL - program May 21

Theater Bellevue, Amsterdam (NL)

TOUJOURS DE 3⁄4 FACE!
LORAINE DAMBERMONT (AEROWAVES)

Not without humour, Loraine Dambermont delivers a hyper energetic solo in which she reveals her best self-defense secret skills. Her performance challenges the physical and mental virtuosity of the performer by pushing the limits of a constrained body between a marathon of hyper fast movements and the extreme precision of its own musicality.

EVEN ONIONS DON'T MAKE ME CRY
JEFTA TANATE & MATILDE TOMMASIN

Even onions don’t make me cry is a collaboration between Matilde Tommasini and Jefta Tanate. It’s portraying a perspective on the balance of how thick a skin you need to have and when and how vulnerability is needed in life. Due to numerous situations or experiences in one’s life, we tend to create a system for ourselves, which either works, doesn’t work or has worked previously in order to survive in society nowadays.

VICTORY BOOGIE WOOGIE
CHARLES PAS

In the mime solo Victory Boogie Woogie, Charles Pas places himself in a dystopian in-between space to explore what it means when you constantly have to rig yourself up. As a lost young man, he confronts the mundane, trying to tame it and look for all that lies behind it. What does it mean when you can't find a connection, dejection takes over, but you know no other way than to keep going?

Also on 21 May: an Artist Meeting about entrepreneurship / business for young dance makers.
