Job description
As an all-around technical intern, you work under the supervision of the technical producer. Together you ensure that the entire production runs smoothly. This means that you arrange the preparations for the tours and performances and make agreements with venues (national and international). You work regularly from the office, but you could also travel when we have performances on tour nationally, or run from here to here to prepare things before or during a production. 
 
If you do an internship at ICK Amsterdam, we have a rich palette of different projects. The organization runs on different levels such research/academy, ensemble, new makers and community. This ensures that your work can look very varied. Support your colleague in setting up large national productions and preparatory work for an international tour. Support and implement small productions by novice makers or setting up online lessons, lectures, etc.
 
Your work
As an all-round technician intern, you contribute to general production support such as:

• Preparing the equipment for the tours
• Giving technical support for new makers
• Helping out with load-ins or load-outs from the company
• Researching new technologies for future productions
• Keeping track of the logistics of upcoming shows
• Gathering information from the theaters where performances will be held.

Candidate profile
During your internship you will learn and, depending on your learning goals, you will be given more and more responsibilities with us. We are looking for someone who:

• Has basic knowledge on audio, lighting and video.
• An investigative character and someone who works accurately.
• Knows the QLab, Dante and Wysiwyg is an advantage.
• Rolls up their sleeves and can functions well in a small, fast-moving team.
• Can take on tasks, and ask critical questions upon receiving the assignment and once you get started.
• Does their best to think ahead, act and carry out your assignment successfully.
• Does not mind working hours during the day as well as during the evenings (always open to discuss).
