
Robin Nimanong
New Adventures 2022 #2 / Supported Artist
Robin Nimanong (he/she/they, 1995, NL/TH) makes performances at the crossroads of dance, movement and media. Robin's performances are often made for and by the queer community, with themes of identity, self-care and activism. During the 2022 #2 New Adventures residency, Robin will develop his performance Cyborg DNA, a futuristic performance installation, from evolution to transhumanism.
In 2017, Robin graduated from the Modern Theatre Dance department in Amsterdam. After this he danced with Batsheva, SHIFFT and Nicole Beutler, among others, and made his own performances and dance films, including Bodyscan 223 and Aphrodisiac II (winner of THE NEXT BEST FRINGE AWARD 2020). Robin is the winner of the Anne Faber Stipendium 2022.
