My Time is Now

In My Time is Now, several young people from Amsterdam go looking for their place in the city. Under the guidance of a team of urban dance teachers, young people who - separated by invisible walls - normally don't come into contact with each other, were looking for an answer to the question: Why is Amsterdam my city?

At the end of the project, on Sunday 9 June 2019, they presented their shared vision in a performance in Theater de Meervaart.

In 2021, ICK and Studio eXp will work together for My Time is Now in an investigation into the connection between urban dance styles and contemporary dance. How can these dance forms reinforce each other?
