All Over - Acts of love

COPRODUCTION

ICK & Toneelgroep Oostpool

In All Over - Acts of Love dancers and players surrender themselves to the movements of love. A meeting takes place between two strangers who seem to have known each other for years. They fall in love in a big city, against the backdrop of a world that is in danger of being destroyed. How do we deal with love in a world that increasingly clearly indicates that this is no longer the case?

Choreographers Emio Greco and Pieter C. Scholten and director Marcus Azzini admire each other's work. In All Over - Acts of Love, this admiration comes together in a continuous flirtation between two theatre disciplines. Greco and Scholten are choreographers with a great sense of theatricality. Azzini is a director with a special interest in the physicality of play. In their work, they all look for the meaning of the body in this day and age. The theme 'Body in Revolt' by ICK and 'How to be human now' by Toneelgroep Oostpool find each other in this special collaboration.

Hannah van Wieringen writes dialogues in which people scan, think and feel. Emio Greco and Pieter C. Scholten create a choreography. Director Marcus Azzini brings everything together in a space designed by Theun Mosk, in which body and language find each other without being inferior to each other. Both go a long way in their passion for total surrender.

For Azzini, this state of love is at its closest. Love as something you do, a series of actions. It requires a willingness, an availability that has nothing to do with ideas or fixed structures. Loving is a succession of moments of surrender. And although a moment is by definition transient, it does not make love any less valuable.

ALL OVER will be subtitled in English in the following cities:
