Joeri Dubbe

Joeri Dubbe starts his career as a dancer with the Dutch National Ballet and Nederlands Dans Theater. Since 2008, the year in which he decides to start working as a choreographer, he has been creating energetic and intriguing dance productions. Dubbe has been asked by ICK to create one of the choreographies for 7EVEN.
Dubbe is born in Haarlem, the Netherlands. After a nine year education at the National Ballet Academy Dubbe joins the Dutch National Ballet. After dancing with the ballet for four years, Dubbe decides to make the transition to Nederlands Dans Theater 2 in 2005. During the years at NDT2, Dubbe works with choreographers such as Jiri Kylián, Ohad Nahrin, Stijn Celis and choreographers duo Lightfoot & Leon.
In 2009 Dubbe is commissioned by Korzo to make his first work Prospect Future for Here We Live and Now 2009. His first full performance Chrono premiers during the 2011 CaDance festival. With Chrono Dubbe is awarded the prestigious BNG Prize for New Theatre Makers. Recent work of Dubbe includes Kitsune (2014),Infant (2016) and Kiraly (2017).
