Jesús de Vega

After his training in Las Palmas de G.C. and Seville, Jesús de Vega Gómez (SP) danced with, among others, Metros Dance Company and Galili Dance, Danshuis Station-Zuid and worked with choreographers such as Ramon Oller and Itzik Galili, Václav Kuneš and Stephen Shropshire. For Emio Greco and Pieter C. Scholten he danced in Double Points: Rocco, worked as rehearsal director for the performance [purgatorio] POPOPERA and danced in La Commedia. In the autumn of 2015 he collaborated on the creation of Macbeth, a collaboration between ICK and de Toneelmakerij. With the support of ICK he created GlitterGods / STIGMA (2017) and Choreopop (2018).  

 His work is inspired by socio-political issues that he dissects and combines with his artistic sensitivity, a touch of entertainment value and references to pop culture. The resulting cocktail is cathartic, mysterious and poetic and presents an emotional landscape of the times we live in.
