Moving Futures Amsterdam

Let yourself be surprised by the engaging, daring and barrier-breaking dance makers and performers of today.
From Thursday the 5th of May until Sunday the 8th of May 2022, the travelling festival Moving Futures Festival will be in Amsterdam. Moving Futures is the festival where you can experience dance by the newest generation of makers in all its manifestations. The festival showcases innovative dance in a generously varied programme with performances, installations, workshops and (after)talks.
In Amsterdam, you will see performances by ICK artists-in-residence Courtney May Robertson, Keren Rosenberg and Christian Guerematchi, next to performances by Elisabeth Borgermans, Marta & Kim, Antonin Rioche and Ian Yves Ancheta & Iannes Bruylant.
Especially for the programme in Amsterdam, international Aerowaves-maker Sung Im Her will present her performance NUTCRUSHER. Starkly repetitive and energetic, NUTCRUSHER looks at sexual objectification and power. The work questions how we relate to our bodies, how they are presented and re-presented, and how cultural context affects this.
Also, you can experience the interactive and sensory dance experience Vibes! Go on a journey through a labyrinth filled with sonic obstacles and dance together, led by a voice through a set of headphones, to find your way to Mujõ.
