Dance project for children during the summer holidays
In the second week of the summer holidays, ICK Dans Amsterdam opens its doors for the young dance lovers (8-14 years old). In this week you will get to know a new way of dancing and make a short performance together with the other children and two dance teachers. From Monday to Friday from 10:00-13:00 you get dance lessons and you think about what the performance will look like.
During Holiday Dance you will be introduced to our Sensorium Toolkit: A special box with drawings, sounds, fragrances and materials to feel. Not showing and imitating, but let dance arise from the power of imagination. Let a scent move you, make your legs of cement and that image is something different for you than it is for me.
